A urbaniza\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 um dos incontest\u00e1veis problemas das a\u00e7\u00f5es humanas sobre o meio ambiente. O monitoramento das condi\u00e7\u00f5es de balneabilidade das praias \u00e9 de suma import\u00e2ncia, uma vez que praias com condi\u00e7\u00f5es impr\u00f3prias s\u00e3o de alto risco de dissemina\u00e7\u00e3o de diversas doen\u00e7as. Para comprovar que as condi\u00e7\u00f5es de balneabilidade s\u00e3o pr\u00f3prias para atividades de recrea\u00e7\u00e3o com contato prim\u00e1rio com a \u00e1gua as praias devem ter, no m\u00e1ximo, um NMP de 800 E. coli por 100ml em 80% das amostras coletadas nas \u00faltimas 5 semanas em um mesmo local. Sendo assim, esse estudo tem por objetivo avaliar, atrav\u00e9s de m\u00e9todos estat\u00edsticos, a influ\u00eancia de fatores naturais, tais como as mudan\u00e7as de mar\u00e9 e a intensidade de chuva, sobre a condi\u00e7\u00e3o de balneabilidade das praias da cidade de Itapo\u00e1-SC. Conforme os resultados encontrados por esse estudo, a esta\u00e7\u00e3o que encontrou uma porcentagem maior de praias impr\u00f3prias ao banho foi o ver\u00e3o, o que pode ser corroborado pelo aumento na concentra\u00e7\u00e3o de pessoas nessas praias. Por\u00e9m, os resultados mostraram, ainda, que a intensidade de chuva tamb\u00e9m causa impactos significativos sobre as condi\u00e7\u00f5es de balneabilidade, uma vez que chuvas intensas podem carrear poluentes em dire\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0s praias. Sendo assim, mostra-se que fatores naturais tamb\u00e9m t\u00eam influ\u00eancia sobre a balneabilidade e que \u00e9 poss\u00edvel fazer uso de m\u00e9todos estat\u00edsticos para analisar essa influ\u00eancia.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Palavras-Chaves<\/strong>: Monitoramento Ambiental, Balneabilidade, M\u00e9todos Estat\u00edsticos.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Analysis of the influence of natural factors on the bathing condition of beaches in Itapo\u00e1 (Brazil)<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>A B S T R A C T <\/strong><\/p><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p>The disordered population growth in the coastal zone generates negative impacts that, consequently, affect the bathing of the beaches. Urbanization is one of the indisputable problems of human actions on the environment. Monitoring bathing conditions of beaches is of paramount importance, since beaches with unsuitable conditions have a high risk of spreading various diseases. To prove that the bathing conditions are suitable for recreational activities in primary contact with water, beaches should have, at most, an MPN of 800 E. coli per 100ml in 80% of the samples collected in the last 5 weeks in the same place. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate, through statistical methods, the influence of natural factors, such as tidal changes and rain intensity, on the bathing condition of beaches in Itapo\u00e1-SC city. According to results found by this study, the season that found a higher percentage ofbeaches with inappropriate bathing conditions was the summer, which can be corroborated by the increase in the concentration of people on these beaches. However, the results showed that the intensity of rainfall also causes significant impacts on the bathing conditions, since heavy rainfall can carry pollutants towards the beaches.
